Netherlands: More youth converting to Islam

According to the missionary organization Evangelie & Moslims (Gospel and Muslims), which is dedicated to missionizing among Muslims, more and more Christian youth are converting to Islam.

There are about a dozen conversions a year, but the organization expects that the numbers will go up in the future due to more frequent contact with Muslim youth.

The youth convert because they feel attracted to the simplicity and clarity of Islam. There have been sporadic conversions in the past, when Dutch youth married Muslims, but having Christian youth convert to Islam out of conviction is a new development according to E&M.

The organization suggests that churches should learn more about Islam so that they could answer questions that come up about the difference between Christianity and Islam.
